![]() ![]() ![]() The higher the framerate, the more continuous (and better) it looks. The rate at which it sends these images to your screen is called your framerate (FPS), or refresh rate. It does this multiple times every second, which makes it look like one continuous video. The CPU in your computer or console generates an image of the game you’re playing and then sends that digital information to your monitor/TV to display. Framerate is not related to resolution, HDR, and other visual effects.
